We scream some more!

We previously wrote about make some homemade vanilla ice cream. We wanted to try some more flavors, so we decided to use the same recipe as before but use peppermint flavoring instead of vanilla extract. I think we both loved it!

Peppermint Ice Cream
(there is no picture this time because it looked just the same as the vanilla ice cream. Maybe we could add some red food coloring to make it look more peppermint-y.)

Amanda's Analysis:
I thought this ice cream was absolutely delicious! I love the peppermint ice cream that is in grocery stores around Chirstmas and this tasted just like it, well with out the candy cane bits, which you could easily add. I give this peppermint ice cream 7 spoons!

John's Jibba-Jabba:
It is really surprising how a little change can make such a big difference. The addition of peppermint to the ice cream made it so much better. The flavor was really great and it maintained the smooth texture that made the original such a hit. I think if we put bits of crushed pepermint in it that would push it over the top. I give this guy 6 minty spoons.

oooooohhh this sounds wonderful. Maybe some green food coloring with bits of pepermint would send it over the 7 spoons. :-)
