Oh Baby!

Two of my cousins recently had baby girls (and both named them names that start with "A"). I made some bibs to send them and wanted to also send along a treat for the new parents. When I first saw this cookie cutter I knew I had to have it, and it didn't take long for me to have an opportunity to use it.


I tried a new technique for these cookies and made royal icing using meringue powder. I used this icing to flood the cookies, which gives it a nice and smooth finish. I think they turned out really well and I am looking forward to using this technique more often.
