John found this recipe for a turkey meatloaf and wanted to try it. It is a more traditional meatloaf as compared to the Vermont Turkey Loaf we made earlier. This recipe is also from Martha Stewart, so you know you can't go wrong when making it. It can be found here.
Ingredients
3/4 cup ketchup
2 lbs ground turkey
1 cup chopped onion
2 slices sandwich bread, torn into small pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 chopped dill pickle
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup ketchup with remaining ingredients until well mixed.
Divide mixture evenly in a muffin tin and brush tops with remaining ketchup.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until inside temperature reads 170°.
Amanda's Analysis:
I thought these turkey loafs were great! I like the more traditional meatloaf and enjoyed that they were baked in the muffin tins as opposed to as one big loaf. It seemed quick and easy to prepare and there was plenty of flavor. We had more than enough for the two of us so we had some leftovers and it was just as good reheated as the first time around. I give these Turkey Meatloaves 7 spoons!
John's Jibba-Jabba:
These turkey loaves were much better than they ended up looking. Next time I make them I may make one big loaf although having the smaller ones was good for leftovers. I also may do something to try and spice it up a bit. Although flavorful, I think they could use a little more of a kick. I give these meaty guys 6 spoons.

Ooooohhh another recipe to try. I think we'll have to try this one on Kyle as he loves meatloaf. I think you guys are in charge of supper the next time everyone is here. :-)
Kyle's Konclusion
This dish was excellent. The pickles made it absolutely superb. One hint though, do NOT use a half CUP of pickles (haha mom). It was very moist and tasty. I give it 6 out of 7 spoons, and here is why. If a dish receives 7 spoons, that means that I could eat that dish and only that dish for the rest of my life. This isnt quite there yet, but it is amazing!!
Alyssa's Add-ons
Here are the quick facts.
8/7 spoons for cuteness. These were adorable! :-)
6.5/7 in general. They were delicious, but not being a huge pickle person, there was a little too much of a pickley aftertaste. Overall however, they were delicious!
Mom's Mumble Jumble
These were great. Fun to make, serve and eat. I couldn't figure out the 1/2 pickle and thought it should of been 1/2 cup so that is what I put in. I liked the pickle taste. They were very cute and I like making them in the muffin tins. I was thinking they would be good to take to a potluck. I give it 6 spoons as like Kyle if this is all I had to eat forever, I would't choose this but if I think of something to change I can't I would then give it 7. :-) Looking forward to our next dish to try and critique.

I agree with everyone else that these were very tasty and very moist. I liked the amount of pickle and it really added a different flavor to meatloaf. It may even be fun to try it with like sweet pickles or even olives (sorry John). I think I could live on this and I would give it 7 spoons.
Dad
We tried these tonight and really liked them!! The only thing was that we only have dinosaur shaped muffin tins, so ours were dino shaped :-) Really delicious though! Adam said he likes it a little more than "real" meatloaf, and he is definitely the expert on that of the two of us.
I think the dino shapes would make them even more fun! This recipe has become our standard meatloaf recipe. It also works well to make in loaf form and freeze. Glad you liked them!
