Birthday Fun

Tuesday was my birthday. John took me to Scoozi! for dinner. It's an Italian restaurant near our place in the city. John doesn't like mushrooms so I try to eat them every chance we are not sharing the meal, therefore I had a wild mushroom and pea gnoochi. It was delicious, I would give it 6 spoons. John had a ravioli trio, which included butternut squash, proscuitto & onion, and spinach & ricotta ravioli. His favorite was the butternut squash ravioli but I believe he enjoyed them all. The waitress found out it was my birthday and brought out a piece of chocolate cake. It had a layer of something crispy under the frosting and was absolutely delicious.

The other weekend when we were back in Iowa I celebrated my birthday with my family. My mom got me this great personalized baking pan from That's My Pan. It is blue (my favorite color) and says "From the kitchen of Amanda Reeder". I look forward to using to make delicious treats. Thanks mom!
