Amanda's Analysis:
This granola is excellent, I've had it for breakfast the past three days! It was simple to make and the recipe made quite a bit. It has a slight sweet flavor that goes well with it's crunchy texture. The recipe is very versatile and ingredients could easily be added or removed. I'd like to try making it using maple syrup and walnuts. I give this granola 6 spoons!
John's Jibba-Jabba:
This granola turned out very good. It was sweeter and had a more interesting texture than the store bought variety. I especially liked the use of honey and coconut and would like to try it again with different nuts. I am not sure if it is more economical to make this at home but I do know that the homemade version sure beats what you get from the store. This granola gets 6 spoons.

Yum! Sounds delicious. I think I'm going to try making this. It seems to me that there is a whole lot of sugar in this when you consider the brown sugar and the honey though... Do you think the recipe would suffer if I cut back on the sugar and honey a little?
Yeah, I think you probably could. I think I would cut down on the amount of brown sugar and not the amount of honey though. I think you need the honey to completely coat the oats for baking. Let me know if you make any changes and how you like it!
Okay, I tried it! It's really delicious! I think it turned out fine. I halved the brown sugar. The only thing is, I think that it only needs an hour of baking... I think it was getting a little overdone at 1 hour 15 (and maybe this is just our oven). Delish though! Thanks for the recipe!
